Lazy Jane Curaçao is the owner and operator of the Lazy Jane villa in Vista Royal, Jan Thiel, Curaçao. For questions about this policy or your data please contact us at info@lazyjane.com.

2. What personal data we process

When you place an option, make a reservation or contact us we process:

• Name, e-mail and (if provided) phone number
• Desired arrival and departure dates and number of guests
• Any notes you include
• Payment details (upon reservation — via a payment provider)
• IP address, browser type and anonymised browsing behaviour

3. Why we use this data

• To process your option or reservation and manage the booking administration
• To issue invoices and process payments
• To communicate with you before, during and after your stay
• To improve our website and services
• To comply with legal obligations (such as tax record-keeping)

4. Legal basis

We process personal data based on:

• Performance of the contract you enter into with us (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR)
• Your consent, where applicable (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR)
• Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR)

5. Retention period

We do not keep your data longer than necessary. Booking data and invoices are retained for 7 years in accordance with statutory tax obligations. Contact requests that do not result in a booking are deleted within 2 years.

6. Sharing with third parties

We only share your data with parties needed for the performance of our services:

• Our payment provider (to process payments)
• The villa manager in Curaçao (for key handover and check-in)
• Any concierge services you request (only relevant data)
• Our accountant and the tax authorities, where legally required

We never sell your data to third parties.

7. Cookies

Our website uses functional cookies necessary for the booking module to work (storing your selected dates and option details in your browser). We do not place tracking or third-party marketing cookies.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data (right of access)
• Have incorrect data corrected
• Have your data deleted, as far as legally possible
• Restrict processing or object to it
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

9. Filing a complaint

If you disagree with how we process your data you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
